Sittenfeld ad to air during Dem debate

In the hopes of introducing himself to Ohio Democrats, Cincinnati City Councilman P.G. Sittenfeld will air a TV commercial in Dayton and other markets during the Democratic debate on Tuesday.

Sittenfeld is challenging former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland for the Democratic party nomination in the primary for U.S. Senate next year. The winner will face incumbent Republican Rob Portman, R-Cincinnati.

Sittenfeld, the underdog in the primary race, is the first senate candidate to air a commercial, said Sittenfeld campaign spokesman Dale Butland.

The 30-second spot will run in Dayton, Cleveland, Columbus, Toledo and Youngstown.
