"She is a tireless and tenacious advocate of my agenda and has amazing insights on how to effectively communicate our message," the President-Elect added, saying that she would work "to effectively message and execute the Administration's legislative priorities and actions."
"I am pleased that she will be part of my senior team in the West Wing."
Well known in Washington before signing on with Trump for her work as a pollster, Conway stood by him through thick and thin.
"Hashtag: he's your President. How about that?" Conway said in a post-election scrap with top aides of the Clinton campaign a few weeks ago.
"I am humbled and honored to play a role in helping transform the movement he has led into a real agenda of action and results," Conway said in a statement issued by the Trump Transition.
Conway's appointment is one of many job choices that still must be made by the President-Elect, as he has continued a variety of meetings at his Mar-a-Lago retreat in Florida in recent days.
Two Cabinet positions remain unfilled at this point - Agriculture and Veterans Affairs.
