2. Northmont surprised Springboro 32-20 to stay in contention for a playoff spot in Division I, Region 4. Devin Kenerly ran for 228 yards and four touchdowns for the Thunderbolts, who snapped a four-game losing streak.

3. Troy and Piqua both won to set up a de facto GWOC American North championship game when the storied Miami County rivals meet in Week 10. Ben Schmiesing ran for 167 yards and Allen Schrubb added 102 for the Indians in a 27-20 win over Tippecanoe while the Trojans got 267 rushing yards and five touchdowns from Josh Browder in a 42-21 win over Greenville.

4. Dunbar improved to 8-1 and clinched the SOPL American Conference championship with a 42-12 win over Cincinnati Taft. Jamr Walker threw for 301 yards and four touchdowns for the Wolverines.
5. Trotwood-Madison claimed the GWOC American South title as Raveion Hargrove and Keon Hamilton combined for 269 yards in a 49-14 rout of Xenia while Wayne locked up the GWOC National East championship with a decisive 38-14 win over Springfield.
6. Think 200 yards is impressive? Fairborn’s KJ Redmon went for 304 on the ground as the Firebirds beat West Carrollton 53-12. The junior also scored four tochdowns.
7. Edgewood and Franklin also became champions on Friday night. The Cougars stomped Little Miami 55-14 to clinch at least a share of the Southwest Ohio Conference title while the unbeaten Wildcats became at least SWBL Southwestern Division co-winners by outlasting Oakwood 66-48. Brian Erbe threw for 452 yards and had a hand in seven touchdowns for visiting Oakwood.
