Middletown police are investigating the theft of insulin needles from a resident’s front porch on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said that Jim Bryant said he received a box containing 100 insulin needles that were delivered to his home in the 2100-block of Bryant Street by UPS between 3 and 4 p.m.

When Thornton went out get his box off the front porch about 4:30 p.m., he noticed that someone had cut the box open and stolen all 100 needles contained in the box.

Thornton told police that he did not know who would have taken his insulin needles and said the needles would have his name on them if they were found.
