Reds acquire pair of minor leaguers in trade with Dodgers

The Cincinnati Reds acquired a pair of minor leaguers Tuesday in a trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Coming to the Reds are right-handed pitcher Zach Neal and first baseman Ibandel Isabel. The Reds sent Ariel Hernandez, whom they designated for assignment Friday when Dylan Fromo was promoted, to the Dodgers.

Neal, 29, made one appearance with the Dodgers this season, allowing two hits and a run in one inning. He had a 3.72 ERA at Class AAA Oklahoma City in two starts. He will be assigned to Triple-A Louisville.

Isabl, 22, hit 28 home runs and drove in 87 runs last season at Class A Rancho Cucamonga. The 6-foot-4, 225-pounder will be assigned to Class A Daytona.
