Middletown High School’s boys basketball team has a busy weekend ahead.

The Middies, 5-9 overall and 2-7 in the Greater Miami Conference, will travel to Oak Hills (9-5, 6-3) on Friday night, then get on a bus Saturday morning and head to Saginaw, Mich.

Saginaw Valley State University is hosting its annual “The Hill, The High, The Valley” event Saturday. The first two games will be the Saginaw women (1 p.m.) and men (3 p.m.) facing Northwood. Two high school boys games will follow, Middletown vs. Saginaw Arthur Hill at 6:30 p.m. and Romulus (Mich.) vs. Saginaw High at 8 p.m.

Middies coach Darnell Hoskins said the trip was arranged through his connection to SVSU. His son, Darnell Hoskins Jr., is a sophomore guard for the Cardinals. He’s the team’s No. 2 scorer (15.1) and leader in assists (2.7).
