Luis Castillo won’t soon forget his first All-Star Game.

The Cincinnati Reds right-hander pitched a perfect fourth inning for the National League in Tuesday’s game at Progressive Field in Cleveland. Castillo, 8-3 with a 2.29 ERA this season, struck out two batters in the National League’s 4-3 loss to the American League.

The Reds’ other All Star — Sonny Gray — did not pitch.

Former Red Aroldis Chapman, now with the New York Yankees, struck out the side in the ninth to earn the save for the AL.
