Irwin, Geraldine "Jerry"

Geraldine "Jerry" Irwin, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on December 6, 2024, just days shy of her 94th birthday. She was born on December 11, 1930, in Murray City, Ohio, the cherished daughter of Doshia and John Snyder. Jerry was a proud graduate of Murray City High School, having completed her education in 1948. Her professional journey saw her working with distinction at Rikes and Elder-Beerman, where she made many lifelong friends and cherished memories. Throughout her life, Jerry actively attended Honey Creek Presbyterian Church in New Carlisle, Ohio. She had a rich life full of love for her family, who were always her top priority. She is survived by her daughters, Julie Daniel, Jan McKeand, and Vicki Lemaster, as well as her numerous grandchildren, Jason (Krissy) Styer, Jonathan Fields, Kalen McKeand, Chelsea Lemaster, Jillian (Sean) Hyland, and Jesse (Amber) Daniel. Jerry's legacy continues through her 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, all of whom brought her unparalleled happiness. In her leisure time, Jerry was known for her enthusiasm for various activities. She spent countless hours at the ballpark, cheering on her loved ones. Her passion for games was evident as she loved playing Rummy and Euchre with family and friends. Additionally, she had a knack for vibrant correspondence, never missing an opportunity to send cards that brought warmth and joy to the lives of those around her. Jerry is now reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband, Thomas Irwin; her great-granddaughter, Brielle Pullen; her brothers, Hap, Junior, and Eugene; and her sister, Myrt. Her family will remember her as a guiding light in their lives, a woman whose love knew no bounds and who expressed it through every card, game, and family gathering. She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. The family would like to thank the staff at Dayspring Skilled Nursing Facility and Ohio Valley Hospice for their love and care.
