Former governor John Kasich appointed Cespedes to the Ohio Arts Council and Ohio Civil Rights Commission. He also sits on the Capital Square Review and Advisory Board, which oversees the Ohio Statehouse.
A native of Lorain and graduate of Ohio State University, Cespedes worked as a finance officer for the Ohio Treasurer.
Cespedes’ bio from the Ohio Civil Rights Commission said he co-founded The Oxley Group in 2006 and at one point served as the Ohio Liaison for the White House Office of Public Engagement.
