Police reports: Arrest made in attempted theft of Pokemon cards

Jan. 9

A citizens band radio was stolen from a bus owned by the Hamilton City Schools while it was parked about 8 a.m. on Corlis Avenue.

An assault was reported about 10 p.m. in the 500 block of South Front Street.

A man reported being approached by a group and being robbed of his wallet, $20 and his iPod about 2:15 p.m. Jan. 9.

A wallet, a checkbook, a driver’s license and credit and gift cards were stolen between 10:15 and 10:30 p.m. Jan. 8 from the 1700 block of Millville Avenue.

Prescription medication was stolen overnight Jan. 5 from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 1800 block of Morey Avenue.

A heating, ventilation and air conditioning unit and copper pipes were stolen between Dec. 1 and Jan. 9 from a residence in the 600 block of Hooven Avenue. The value of the stolen items was reported at about $6,000.

A person was arrested after trying to steal two packs of crayons, three pairs of jeans, three packs of bubble gum and three packs of Pokemon cards about 12:50 p.m. from the Walmart store, 1505 Main St.

A rear door was damaged between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. during a burglary of a residence in the 600 block of Millikin Street in which a 42-inch television was stolen.

A person was arrested after trying to steal seven DVDs about 7 p.m. from the Main Street Market, 1204 Main St.

Two doors were damaged and a lock was cut on a third door between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. during an attempted break-in at AJ Motors, 701 S. Erie Blvd.

An Xbox game system, a controller and seven video games were stolen between 8 and 11:30 p.m. Jan. 8 from an apartment in the 0 to 100 block of Chestnut Street.

Jan. 10

A wallet containing personal identification, house keys and $75 were stolen between 1 and 1:45 a.m. from a residence in the 300 block of South 11th Street.

A person was arrested after attempting to steal items about 2:30 a.m. from a trailer that was parked in a rear alley in the 400 block of North C Street.

Someone broke off the rear mirrors of a vehicle that was parked between 1 and 2 a.m. in the 300 block of South 11th Street.

A central air conditioning unit and about 25 feet of copper pipe were stolen between Jan. 1 and Jan. 10 from a vacant house in the 500 block of Park Avenue. The value of the stolen items were reported at $1,250.

A computer, a portable DVD player, and $80 were stolen after someone broke a window of a car that was parked overnight in the 600 block of South Washington Boulevard.

The front windshield and the front passenger window were broken on a vehicle that was parked overnight in the 900 block of Richwood Court. A nebulizer with a black bag was stolen from the vehicle.

An assault was reported between 9 and 10 p.m. Jan. 9 in the 300 block of Hudson Avenue. Another assault involving the same victims occurred between 10 and 10:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Hudson Avenue. A third assault involving a different victim was also reported about the same time in the same location.

A debit card was stolen between 9 and 11 p.m. from the 500 block of Valley View Drive and $200 was withdrawn from the bank account.

A person was robbed at knifepoint of prescription medications and $160 about 2:15 p.m. in the 0 to 100 block of North C Street.

Two bottles of prescription medication were given to the wrong person about 11:48 a.m. Jan. 8 at the Walgreens drug store, 1090 High St. When the drug store asked the person who received the wrong medication to return it, the person denied receiving it even though the transaction was recorded on surveillance video.

A cell phone was reported stolen between noon and 3 p.m. from a residence in the 2100 block of Pleasant Avenue.
