Reds, Indians begin spring training in Arizona; forecast

While we do have our own warm up over the coming days, it won’t be nearly warm enough to go outside and play baseball. However it is warm enough for the Reds and Indians in Arizona for spring training.

Today, pitchers and catchers report for spring training in Goodyear, Arizona. The weather looks to be on the mild side for the Reds and Indians for the next few days. Upper 60s are expected today and Wednesday, middle 60s on Thursday. With the mild temperatures comes the chance for rain each day, with the best chance coming Wednesday.

The mild temperatures currently in Arizona won’t be making it to the Miami Valley any time soon. It’s not until early May that we see average highs in the upper 60s in the Dayton area.
