Nothing is listed on the Hamilton Board of Education agenda for tonight’s meeting that addresses the status of Superintendent Tony Orr.
But each of the five publicly elected board members are free to comment during the meeting on Orr’s status if they so choose.
The board President, Steve Isgro, said last week that the board will not be issuing any further statements regarding its decision to order Orr on paid administrative leave during the investigation.
The board’s public statement said it is “is investigating allegations that Orr may have violated board policies.”
But this news outlet obtained public documents last week revealing an internal board notice sent to Orr that cited a “pending investigation into allegations of misconduct.”
Orr has not commented beyond one statement released last week after this news outlet was the first to report his being ordered on leave.
Orr said he was “unaware of what the allegation is, (and) I am confident that I will be exonerated at the conclusion of this investigation.”
The superintendent has also been ordered to stay off school property and not have contact with any district employees or students.
Isgro did stress last week that Orr’s leave and subsequent investigation does not involve any incidents with students.
The reason for Orr’s leave has left many in the 10,000-student Butler County school system with questions and some may be directed toward district officials tonight.
Each school board meeting has a portion of time devoted to hearing comments from the public.
The school board’s meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Hamilton Schools Central Office at 533 Dayton Street.
