“Like all Kiwanis clubs across our nation, we are dedicated to serving children in our community,” said Mike Wolf of the Lindenwald Kiwanis Club. “Hurricane Harvey reminds us we live in the community called the United States. Buying thousands of diapers directly serves parents in Texas and needs for their children. We are glad to serve.”
Lindenwald Kiwanis Special Events Committee Chairman Jim Connaughton along with member Chuck Ramage spearheaded the effort to get the diapers.
“Chuck deserves all the credit,” Connaughton said. “This was his idea and he did all the work.”
Ramage called it a “team effort,” and said the offering should help many families with children.
The city already showed some benevolence last month, as public officials arranged to send more than 100 cases of Hamilton water to Texas residents devastated by the hurricane.
