Fairfield’s Jackson Carman to announce college choice in December

Ohio State, Clemson and USC appear to be frontrunners for nation’s top offensive tackle

Fairfield High School senior Jackson Carman will announce his college decision after the 2017 season, Indians coach Jason Krause told WCPO.com.

Carman, a 6-foot-7, 345-pound offensive tackle, is expected to name a top five in August, then make a final decision in December.

The top-rated offensive tackle in the nation according to 247sports , Carman has offers from more than 40 schools. He released a top 10 in December though he has said the decision likely will come down to Ohio State, Clemson and USC.

He will play in the 2018 U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 6 in San Antonio, Texas.

Fairfield opens the season Aug. 25 at home vs. Centerville as part of the Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown.
