Prep football roundup: Colerain tops HHS for 62nd straight GMC win

Colerain won its 62nd consecutive Greater Miami Conference prep football game Friday night, topping host Hamilton 42-7.

Ivan Pace Jr. rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns for the Cardinals (3-2, 3-0 GMC). Quarterback Gunnar Leyendecker passed for two scores and rushed for another.

Hamilton (1-4, 1-2) was led by Maleek Jarrett, who rushed for 154 yards and a touchdown on 32 carries.

Sycamore 34, Middletown 14: Quarterback Drew Altemuehle passed for three touchdowns and rushed for 100 yards to lead the host Aviators (4-1, 2-1) to the GMC win.

The Middies (0-5, 0-3) got a pair of fourth-quarter touchdown runs from Zach Maloney.

Carlisle 48, Northridge 20: D.J. Chambers tallied three rushing scores and Jake Moore threw a TD and ran in another for Carlisle (4-1, 2-0 SWBL Buckeye). Mason Hardin tallied a rushing and passing TD for Northridge.

Madison 48, Oakwood 28: Tyler Baumgartner and Cameron Svarda each rushed for a pair of touchdowns as Madison (3-2) pulled away in the second half. Brian Erbe tossed four touchdowns for Oakwood (3-2).

Brookville 45, Monroe 28: Bailey Wallen rushed into the record books, tallying 212 yards with five touchdowns to become the all-time career rushing yard leader at Brookville. Nick Osterman paced Monroe (1-4, 0-2 SWBL Southwestern) with three passing scores.

Alter 46, Fenwick 22: Caleb Davis rushed for two touchdowns for the Falcons (1-4, 0-2 GCLC North).

Lakota East 42, Oak Hills 28: The Thunderhawks improved to 4-1, 2-1 GMC.

Mason 31, Lakota West 0: The Firebirds fell to 1-4, 1-2 GMC.
