Thousands of honeybees swarmed an Oklahoma interstate Tuesday afternoon, covering patrol cars and trapping at least one sheriff's deputy after a semi truck that was carrying the insects overturned.
According to Fox News, the bees escaped when the truck crashed about 1 p.m. on Interstate 35 in Garvin County. The driver reportedly was treated for "non-life-threatening injuries" at a nearby hospital.
Meanwhile, traffic came to a standstill and bees blanketed law enforcement vehicles at the scene. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol posted photos on Facebook that show two cruisers covered in a thick layer of the buzzing bugs.
