ORIGINAL REPORT

An uncommon dialogue between a man wanted by police and the sheriff’s office seeking him out unfolded Monday on social media.

Andrew Dale Marcum, 21, is wanted by the Butler County Sheriff's Office on numerous outstanding warrants. The sheriff's agency took to its Facebook page Monday by highlighting Marcum as its "featured warrant of the week."

The post included multiple photos of Marcum, a description of the suspect and a list of his recent alleged crimes, including felony burglary/safe-cracking; felony abduction; and misdemeanors of assault, domestic violence and criminal endangering, according to the sheriff’s office.

Just four hours after the sheriff’s office post, Marcum himself replied to the post saying, “I ain’t tripping half of them don’t even know me.”

The sheriff’s office was quick to reply with a polite, “Andrew Marcum - If you could stop by the Sheriff’s Office, that’d be great.”

The post has now been shared nearly 1,000 times on the social media site and has garnered over 500 comments.

Marcum has previously resided on Ohio 4 in Lemon Twp., but also tends to commit crimes in Hamilton and Middletown, according to the sheriff’s office. Anyone with information on the man should call the Butler County Sheriff’s Office at 513-785-1258, or submit an anonymous tip at www.butlersheriff.org/tips.
