Local flights canceled as winter storm hits northeast

Local flights are canceled as the northeast braces for  a winter storm that’s expected to bring more than a foot of snow in some places.

At Dayton International Airport, several flights to and from the northeast coast are already delayed or canceled as of early Thursday. Flights to Philadelphia, Washington and New York are impacted.

Flights are also dleayed or canceled at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport and John Glenn Columbus International Airport.

Boston and eastern Maine will get 12 to 18 inches of snow, New York City could see 8 to 12 inches and Philadelphia could see 4 to 8 inches. Thousands of flights have already been canceled, according to the Associated Press.
