Kings secretary earns special statewide honor

Bev Kassner will be honored at conference in June.

Bev Kassner says she strives “to do my best in my personal life and my school life.”

That commitment to excellence earned the J.F. Burns Elementary School secretary a special statewide honor. Kassner was named the 2017 Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators Secretary of the Year.

OAESA selects one school secretary from across Ohio each year who epitomizes the highest standards of commitment, dedication and service to their school.

She was nominated by J.F. Burns Principal Cheryl Montag, who described Kassner as trustworthy, confidential, caring, respectful and empathetic. She has built a reputation as someone on the “cutting edge of technology and eager to learn” with a sense of humor and contagious laugh.

Kassner will be recognized during the OAESA conference in June.

The Today’s Pulse found out more about Kassner, who has worked in the Kings Local School District for 15 years. She previously worked for American Fidelity Insurance and Sycamore Schools.
