Firefighters arrived at the residence to extinguish the fire, which started in the kitchen shortly after 9 p.m. and were able to put out the small blaze within the hour.

Hamilton firefighters extinguished a fire at 339 S. 11th Street Tuesday night that fire officials say was minor and did not cause any injuries.
There was no visible damage other than a few broken windows at the residence and investigators with the fire department told the Journal-News there “would not be an investigation ongoing” since the damage was minimal and there appeared to be no criminal intent.
