Butler County Democrats meet this week to endorse candidates, issues

The Butler County Democratic Party is set to meet Thursday to discuss anticipated statewide issues in the November election.

The political party will meet in the auditorium at the Butler Tech campus of D. Russel Lee, 3603 Hamilton-Middletown Road.

The party will issue its first round of endorsements for the general election for candidates and anticipated statewide issues. Candidates running for office in November are in local elections for city and village councils, township boards of trustees, and school boards.

Also on the agenda, the party will

  • hear from regional representatives of the Ohio Sierra Club on the latest update on state and local environmental issues;
  • consider purchasing property to serve as its permanent county party headquarters; and
  • appoint members to its Executive/Central Committees.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.
