LATEST: Cincinnati area Speedway clerk knocks out would-be robber

Andre Young is still listed as an inmate in the Hamilton County Jail. His next court appearance is scheduled for November 2, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. Young  is facing charges of Aggravated Robbery (F1) and Assault (F2). As seen in our video, during his court appearance on Wednesday Young was visibly injured and  using crutches on his way into the court. Young also sustained a black eye that has been swollen completely shut.

“We can do this the easy way or the hard way,” Andre Young allegedly told the clerk at a Speedway gas station in Forest Park while waving a box cutter at him Monday.

But the scenario went all wrong for the would-be robber as the clerk swiftly knocked him unconscious, according to our news partner WCPO.

Young, 52, of Cincinnati, appeared in court Tuesday morning to face charges of aggravated robbery and felonious assault. He was ordered held on a $175,000 bond.
