60 employers coming to Butler-Warren Job Fair

Individuals seeking jobs in the region could hardly do better than a Butler-Warren Job Fair this Wednesday, which is set to include about 60 employers.

The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday at Towne Mall Galleria, 3461 Towne Blvd, Middletown, and is organized in honor of Veterans Day by OhioMeansJobs Butler and Warren counties, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, and the area 12 Workforce Investment Board Butler | Warren | Clermont.

“There are open positions in every occupational field from nursing to engineering, manufacturing to hospitality,” Melissa O’Brien, a business services liaison with OhioMeansJobs-Butler County. “The event is open to all job seekers, but veterans will be identified by a veterans priority badge.”

Employers at the fair are scheduled to include Miami University, AK Steel, Aero Fulfillment, the Armor Group, Kraft Heinz, UPS, Great Wolf Lodge, Plas-Tanks Industries, Home Depot, Fecon Inc., Kroger, INVOTEC Engineering, PAC Worldwide Georgia Pacific, Premier Health, Harris Product Group, Miami Luken, FedEx Ground, Metal Coaters and Brightstar Care.

OhioMeansJobs-Butler County is seeking to host a Dress for Success Cincinnati Mobile Career Transformation Center and can refer a maximum of 25 women to the Dress for Success program.

Dress For Success Cincinnati provides women with a suit, shoes, handbag and possible overcoat along with interview tips and strategies to give them the boost they need to succeed, according to Stewart Leonard, agency manager of OhioMeansJobs-Butler County.

“Due to lack of transportation or even cultural issues, many women have difficulty reaching the Dress For Success downtown Cincinnati location,” Leonard said. “The Mobile Career Transformation Center will address these issues by taking the full complement of Dress For Success suiting services to women across the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Region.

“By eliminating cultural, transportation, and other barriers, women served by Dress for Success Cincinnati in these communities will have the professional clothing and confidence they need to successfully secure employment.”

Women interested in participating in such an event and needing this service should contact Dana Heller at 513-887-3237. To schedule a Mobile Career Transformation Center site visit, call Ashley Hunter at 513-322-1787.
