Sunny, mild today; Rain expected late on Thanksgiving

Today will be mostly sunny and mild, with highs reaching up around 58 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. Clouds will increase overnight as temperatures dip down to freezing with a low around 31 degrees.

Clouds will decrease again in the morning on Thanksgiving, before building back up in the afternoon and evening. Highs will again be around 58 degrees.

There will be a chance of rain starting Thanksgiving evening, with showers becoming likely by 1 a.m.

Rain is expected to continue through the night, falling to a chance of showers around dawn on Friday.

Only a “meager” amount of rain is expected, with most areas getting s few tenths of an inch, according to NWS.

Overnight lows will be around 44 degrees.

Friday will have a chance of rain through the morning that will drop away in the afternoon. Clouds will also gradually decrease as temperatures rise to around 52 degrees.

Clouds will increase again Friday night as temperatures dip to around 37 degrees.

Rain will return Saturday in the late morning and early afternoon hours. Highs will be around 50 degrees with overnight lows around freezing.
