Subzero wind chills overnight; below normal temps continue into weekend

Temperatures will drop to near zero in northern counties to the low teens in the southern counties with wind chills as low as minus 15 degrees overnight.

A Wind Chill Advisory will be in effect from 1 to 11 a.m. Wednesday for Champaign, Darke, Miami and Preble counties, issued by the National Weather Service.

Anyone outside should wear appropriate clothing, including a hat and gloves. If precautions are not taken, wind chills could result in frostbite or hypothermia. Move animals indoors and make sure they have dry bedding, food and unfrozen water when outside.

Wednesday will be sunny but frigid, with highs only reaching around 20 degrees.

Temperatures will above freezing on Thursday, with highs around 34 degrees. Clouds will increase during the day, for mostly cloudy skies around dark.

There is a chance for light snow late Thursday into Friday.
