Two of the newest Dayton Flyers arrived on campus Saturday as the University of Dayton celebrated Reunion Weekend.

Dwayne Cohill, the first member of the 2018 men’s basketball class to commit and sign, announced his arrival on Twitter, and Jhery Matos, the second player in the class, did so on Instagram.

Cohill, a 6-foot-2 guard from Holy Name High School in Parma Heights, Ohio, finished his career in March with 2,182 points. He ranks 31st in Ohio high school history.

Matos is a 6-foot-6 guard from the Dominican Republic. He played last season at Monroe College, a junior college in New Rochelle, N.Y. He signed with the Flyers on the first day of the April signing period after verbally committing to Dayton on Feb. 18, one day after watching the Flyers beat Fordham at UD Arena. He averaged 17.7 points last season a sophomore at Monroe.

Another 2018 recruit, Frankie Policelli, graduated from Long Island Lutheran High School on Saturday is expected to arrive at UD later this week.

Dayton's second summer session begins June 22, and it typically has the whole team together for that session. There are two other newcomers joining the program for the 2018-19 season: Michigan transfer Ibi Watson and Chattanooga transfer Rodney Chatman.

Last year was the first year new NCAA rules allowed basketball players to start training with their new program before enrolling in school, and Jordan Pierce, Jalen Crutcher and Jordan Davis took advantage. They were on campus for weeks before starting classes in the second summer session June 26.
