Tiger Woods to play in Memorial Tournament

Tiger Woods will be in the field of the 44th Memorial Tournament.

The reigning Masters champion has previously played in Jack Nicklaus' tournament in Dublin, Ohio, 16 times and won it five.

The 43-year-old is No. 1 in total earning at the tournament, having brought him $5,136,605.

Before the competition ramps up for real, he is set to play in the tournament Pro-Am with former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning.

Retired Ohio State coach Urban Meyer, whose house is on the course, is also set to take part in the Pro-Am for the first time.

This year’s Memorial Tournament is set for May 27-June 2 at Muirfield Village Golf Club.

Also planning to be part of the field are Rickie Fowler, Justin Rose, Rory McIlroy, Jason Day, Justin Thomas, Phil Mickelson and Adam Scott.
