Spring Training began today with the first workout for Reds pitcher and catchers in Goodyear, Ariz.

Here are three things to know:

1. It was sunny and 76 degrees as pitchers and catchers took the field today.

2. Soon-to-be 40-year-old Bronson Arroyo still looks like he can compete for a big league job … but looks can be deceiving.

3. Cody Reed wasn’t messing around in his first bullpen session. The guy who was 0-7 with the Reds last season came out throwing hard, with a big chip on his shoulder.
