HS Roundup 1/7: Haney sets school record for Miami East

Morgan Haney set a school record in visiting Miami East’s 71-33 win versus Urbana in girls basketball on Monday.

Haney had 36 points to set Miami East’s single-game record for points. Camryn Miller added 12 and Paxton Hunley 11.

Alaina Lyons led Urbana with 10 points.

Arcanum 74, Dixie 24: Hailey Unger of Arcanum posted 27 points, including six three-pointers, and Taylor Gray tacked on her ninth double-double with 15 points with 11 rebounds.

Bellbrook 50, Wilimington 44: Kayla Paul led Bellbrook with 13 points and Maria Mescher added 10. Mya Jackson led Wilimington 25 points and Jasmine Jamiel added 10.

Catholic Central 37, Springfield Shawnee 30: Mallory Mullen paced Catholic Central with 12 points.

Chaminade Julienne 52, Fairborn 45: Chaminade Julienne’s Eve Monaghan led the way with 16 points with ten rebounds and Jordyn Varise tacked on 12 points. Fairborn’s Evelyn Oktavec scored 18 points and Khala Powell added 13.

Franklin 71, Miamisburg 50: Layne Ferrell finished with 20 points and Jordan Rogers and Skyler Weir chipped in 12 apiece for Franklin. Anna Long of Miamisburg scored 16 points and Alex Sperry added 13.

Franklin Monroe 67, Brookville 29: Belle Cable had 18 points and Chloe Peters 12 to lead Franklin Monroe.

Kenton Ridge 57, Greeneview 42: Mikala Morris of Kenton Ridge recorded 20 points and Mallory Armentrout added 10. Greeneview’s Sylvie Sonneman scored 15 points and Kenzie Harding added 11.

Lebanon 60, Kings 50: Kendall Folley poured in 33 points and Lindsey Sauerland added 11 for Lebanon.

Legacy Christian Academy 41, Troy Christian 28: Emma Hess led Legacy with 20 points and Kathleen Ahmed added 11.

Mechanicsburg 39, Ben Logan 24: Grace Forrest paced Mechanicsburg with 14 points. Ben Logan’s Nya Worrell scored 12 points.

Tecumseh 76, Northmont 60: Freshman Mae Mastin tallied 22 points, Corinne Thomas 21 and Presley Griffitts 16 for Tecumseh.

Tri-Village 45, Preble Shawnee 41: Tri-Village was led by Lissa Siler with 12 points and Emma Printz with 11. Jenna Lovely and Brenna Woodard scored 12 points apiece for Preble.
