HS Roundup 1/11: Curtis 41 point game gives Xenia win over Piqua

Samari Curtis scored over 40 points for a second straight game in Xenia boys basketball’s 85-71 win versus visiting Piqua on Friday.

UC commit Curtis led with 41 points and Dylan Hoosier added 22 points for Xenia.

Zach Tillman and Qurri Tucker both tallied 16 points for Piqua and Garrett Schrubb scored 13.

Xenia improved to 6-5; Piqua fell to 5-7.

Boys Basketball

Alter 64, Fenwick 52: Brady Uhl led Alter with 26 points, Jack Smith scored 12 and Derek Willits added 11. Fenwick C.J. Napier recorded 17 points and A.J. Braun tacked on 10.

Badin 55, Roger Bacon: Seth Hargis of Badin led with 16 points and Nathan Hegemann added 15.

Beavercreek 58, Northmont 54: Beavercreek’s Isaiah Moore scored 13 points and Brayden Walther tallied 12. Danny Lewis of Northmont recorded 15.

Brookville 56, Bellbrook 53: Caleb Scott led Bellbrook with 19 points.

Centerville 38, Miamisburg 34: Matt Pearce scored 17 points for Centerville. Miamisburg’s Duncan Hall and Brett Hensley tallied 10 points.

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy 49, Cincinnati Christian 48: Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy Cole Fisher led with 17 points.

Emmanuel Christian Academy 48, Dayton Christian 41: Dayton Christian Seth Griswold leading the charge with 12 points.

Fairborn 76, Tipp City 52: Shaunn Monroe of Fairborn scored 39 points and Jared Bates added a career-high 15.

Greeneview 52, West Liberty-Salem 44: Greeneview’s Cole Allen led with 20 points and Gabe Caudill added 14. Holden Nease of West Liberty- Salem scored 16 points, and Nick Burden added 12.

Lebanon 48, Fairmont 46: Sammy Stotts sank a pair of foul shots in the closing minute to put Lebanon ahead. Milo White led Lebanon with 15 points and Zach Huffman had 13.

Legacy Christian Academy 63, Miami Valley 27: Legacy Christian’s Erik Uszynski led with 19 points, Mike Sharavjamts added 12 and Roman Newsome tacked on 11. Casey Edgerley of Miami Valley scored 12 points.

Minster 51, Coldwater 42: Coldwater’s Marcus Bruns scored 13 points and Cole Frilling added 12.

Mt. Healthy 62, Edgewood 60: Mt. Healthy was led by Chris Simmons with 20 points, Aushadon Mathis added 13 and Kollin Tolbert tacked on 11. Isaiah Gambrell of Edgewood led with 19 points and Peyton Daley scored 15.

National Trail 53, Covington 33: Travis Hunt led a National Trail with 14 points, Zach Woodall scored 12 and Evynn Short tacked on 12.

Newton 57, Bradford 30: Newton’s Ryan Mollette scored 15, Chet Jamison with 13 and Kleyson Wehrley chipped in 10

Oakwood 48, Monroe 45, 2OT: Darren Rubin dropped in 24 points for Oakwood. Monroe’s Nick Osterman scored 14.

St. Henry 61, New Bremen 31: St. Henry’s Jay Knapke and Caden Nielcamp recorded 13 points.

Stivers 63, Dunbar 60: Trevon Ellis led Stivers with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Martel Smith of Dunbar scored 18 points.

Girls Bowling

West Liberty-Salem 2001, Riverside 1946: Ashlyn Parks rolled 213 and 149 for a 362 series. Hailee Clifford shot games of 183 and 160 for a 343 series.
