It came down to the buzzer.

Zach Woodall’s last moment putback pushed National Trail past Preble Shawnee on Saturday, 51-49. Shawnee scored the first ten points of the game and led most of the way, but a late charge by National Trail set up Woodall’s heroics.

The Blazers, led by Woodall’s 20 points, are 4-0.

Boys Basketball

Shawnee 73, St. Henry 66: Riley Link had 25 for St. Henry and hit four three-pointers. Shawnee was paced by George Mangas and Caden Vermillion who both had 19.

Legacy Charter 44, Oak Hills 34: Jacobi Wright had 20 — sinking 9 of 10 free throws — to lead Legacy Charter to the win. Kelen Dietrich scored 17 and grabbed six boards.

Minster 56, Legacy Christian 36: Minster sits at 4-0 after Saturday’s win.

Girls Basketball

Dayton Christian 46, Tri-County North 18: Camryn Collinsworth had 18 points, Kayla Ogburn added 14 as the Warriors stormed past TCN.

Bradford 74, Newton 39: Cassie Mead had 22 and Austy Miller chipped in 17 for Bradford.

Fort Loramie 97, Houston 25: Six Redskins scored in double digits as Fort Loramie ran past Houston, led by Ava Sholtis’ 19 points, 4 boards and 5 assists. Kennedi Gephart added 14 points and 3 steals; Tayler Ratermann and Marissa Miering had 12.

Catholic Central 47, Cedarville 30: Abbigail Peterson led all scorers with 20, while Mallory Mullen chipped in 17. Peterson has scored more than twenty points in four games so far this season.

Bellbrook 64, Franklin 26: Kendall Knisley led Bellbrook with 12; Jordan Rogers had 10 for Franklin.

Lakota West 70, Colerain 38: Chance Gray led all scorers with 34 as the Firebirds ran out to a big halftime lead and pulled away. Abaigeal McNally had 13 to lead Colerain.

Oak Hills 55, Middletown 43: Sa’Mill Calhoun led the Middies with 11 points; Keiara Gregory chipped in 10.

Mason 68, Hamilton 40: Margo Mattes had 21 as the Comets pulled away from Hamilton. Big Blue got 10 points off the bench from Ajnique Aldridge.

Coldwater 2793, Mississinawa Valley 2708: Coldwater was led by Matt Meinerding’s 221 and 212 for 433; Brandon Hammons bowled 200 and 183 for 383.

Girls Bowling

Coldwater 2461, Mississinawa Valley 1721: Alison Fox bowled 217 and 223 for 440; Emily Sudhoff added 177 and 190 for 367.
