Former Ohio State receivers coach Zach Smith met Tuesday with the group investigating how Urban Meyer handled allegations Smith abused his wife.
According to multiple reports, Smith’s attorney gave a glowing assessment of the proceedings.
Smith’s ex-wife, Courtney, has accused him of abusing her during their marriage and obtained a domestic violence protection order against him.
She also said she believed Meyer knew of an incident in 2015.
The latter report led to Meyer being placed on leave August 1.

On August 6, Ohio State hired the law firm Debevoise and Plimpton to conduct a two-week investigation being led by respected lawyer Mary Jo White.
Zach Smith told ESPN on August 3 his marriage had been “toxic” and including physical altercations, but he claimed he was never the aggressor.
According to her attorney, Courtney Smith met with investigators Monday.
Meyer has said he followed all protocols when regarding the 2015 allegation, but his status remains in question as the investigation continues.
