Cincinnati Bengals waive two defensive players

The Bengals waived two players — rookie defensive tackle Chris Okoye and veteran cornerback Josh Shaw — from the Reserve/Injured list today with injury settlements.

Okoye and Shaw were waived Saturday as part of the Bengals final cuts, but reverted to the team’s Reserve/Injured list after they cleared waivers.

Shaw, a fourth-round draft pick by the Bengals in 2015, started 14 games and played in 47 for the Bengals the past three seasons.

Okoye signed with the Bengals as a college free agent out of Ferris State in May.
