Cincinnati Bengals: Eifert, Burfict to start training camp on the sideline

Neither tight end Tyler Eifert nor linebacker Vontaze Burfict will be on the field for the start of training camp today as the Cincinnati Bengals have placed both players, and several others, on injured lists.

Eifert joins rookie wide receiver Devonte Boyd and rookie defensive back Davontae Harris on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list, while Burfict and H-back Ryan Hewitt will start camp on the Active/Non-Football Injury list.

All seven players will continue to count against the roster limit and are eligible to practice as soon as they are medically cleared.

Also Thursday, the Bengals signed former Miami RedHawks wide receiver Jared Murphy and placed tackle Javarius Leamon on the Reserve/Did Not Report list.
