Howell, Larry L.
Age 90, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025 at his home in Beavercreek, Ohio. Larry was born on May 1, 1934 in West Manchester, Ohio to the late Foster and Ethel (Martin) Howell. At age 18, Larry moved to Dayton, Ohio where he began his career as a Machine Repairman, working at the National Cash Register Company and General Motors prior to retiring in 1996. It was in Dayton that Larry met and married the love of his life Darlene Faye Vogler on October 23, 1954. Together they raised three children, Kim, Cheryl and Gary. Larry was a hard worker and a dedicated family man. When not at work, he enjoyed working in the yard and woodworking, spending many hours in his home workshop. He also enjoyed traveling planning family vacations every summer and creating many treasured family memories. In 1976, the family moved to Beavercreek, Ohio and Larry and Darlene became members of the Eagles and Moose Lodges, making many new friends while they danced the nights away. Later in life, Larry continued to enjoy working in the yard and doing puzzles and spending time with his wife and family. On October 23, 2024 he and Darlene celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary with their family. Larry is survived by his wife Darlene; children Kim (Thelma) Howell, Cheryl (Timothy) Maiden, and Gary (Kimberly) Howell; grandchildren Heather (Kenneth) Antaramian, Jeffrey (Kenzie) Howell, Jennifer (Joshua) Manuszak, Kelsey (Wade) Bunn; great-grandchildren Jada, Alayah, Kyla, Acen Antaramian, Samuel, Lillian, and Levi Manuszak, Chandler, Dominic, Baylor and Wren Bunn; sisters Janet (Jerr) Smith and Kay (Paul) Kristiansen and his beloved cat Billy.
