Your CBD Store opens 2 Butler County locations, with more planned

The nation’s largest brick-and-mortar chain providing cannabidiol (CBD), a compound found naturally in hemp plants, is expanding in Butler County with two new stores in the past several weeks and at least two more on the way.

Jeff Butterfield of Hamilton opened Your CBD Hamilton at 120-B North 2nd Street several weeks ago, and Dave Arend opened Your CBD Store West Chester this month at 7731 Tylers Place Blvd.

The business CBD water soluble, CBD Tinctures, CBD edibles, CBD Vape products, CBD pet care, CBD skin care, and CBD pain cream.

Butterfield describes the products as “the healthy side of cannabis.”

“Our products are derived from 100 percent organic, non-GMO industrial hemp so they have zero percent THC and can be purchased without a prescription,” he said.

Although CBD is popular, especially among those 55 years old and older, and legal in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, it is still not regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The new Hamilton storefront is 1,100-square-feet with a lounge and a television for viewing everything from testimonials to football and movies for private parties

Butterfield, who said the chain is the only dedicated CBD store, said he decided to open locations of the business because “I have always thought that cannabis had a more useful purpose then what we have been told. I also want to help provide a better quality of life thru better health, both mentally and physically.”

Your CBD Store has more than 530 locations nationwide with eight in the Tri-State area. Each location employees two or three people.

Butterfield said he signed a 2-year lease for the Hamilton storefront, said he plans to open a Fairfield location next March. Arend’s West Chester Twp. location, which opened Oct. 14, is his third. He opened Your CBD Store locations in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and in Anderson Twp.

Butterfield, who has been a Hamilton resident since moving from Florida and Colorado in 1992, said he had been self employed for 14 years and wanted a new venture.

“I believe wholeheartedly that we have the best product in the world,” he said.

The location in Hamilton was the right location to launch the business because of the city’s revitalized downtown, Butterfield said.

The biggest misconception people have about businesses like Your CBD is that it is “pot,” which he said is not the case.

“It offers so many beneficial things to us and we are leading the nation in our research and providing the best product available,” Butterfield said. “Not all CBD is created equal and we want to show customers that first hand.”
