Weather caused big problems for this area road. Now different weather is affecting the repairs.

Motorists who use Butler-Warren Road will have to find an alternate route as a portion of the road will be closed so Monroe public works crews can repair some large potholes.

Monroe officials said Butler-Warren Road, between Mason Road and the south city limits, will be closed from 8 a.m to 3 p.m.daily during the week for the next two weeks, weather permitting.

Public Works Director Dan Arthur said quite a few of the larger, more dangerous repairs have already been made. He said due to all of the rain over the past few weeks, there are others that still need to be filled as well as additional ones that have surfaced.

“We are still using two full street crews working together to complete these repairs as soon as possible,” Arthur said. “Detours will be posted during this time and the road will be opened back up each evening.”

He said emergency vehicles will be able to get through at all times. For more information, call the Public Works Department at 513-727-8953.
