“As a longtime Cincinnatian and local business owner, I am a firm believer in the importance of giving back to the community,” said Jeff Ruby, owner of several local restaurants like The Precinct and Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse, in a statement.
Hoxworth Blood Center needs to collect at least 300 units of blood and 20 units of platelets every day to meet the demand of 31 local hospitals.
“We hope that eligible donors will help us bolster the local blood supply and roll up their sleeves for the chance to win a gift card redeemable at one of Mr. Ruby’s establishments,” Alecia Lipton, spokesperson for Hoxworth Blood Center, said in a statement.
