‘Shooting up’ call leads to drug arrest of Trenton woman

A Trenton woman was charged with a drug offense after Middletown police were called to the Middletown Shopping Center on a report of two people “shooting up” in the parking lot.

Laura Stange, 40, was charged with drug abuse methamphetamine, driving under suspension, no front plate and a holder though the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, according to a police report.

After Stange pulled her vehicle out of the parking lot Wednesday night, police noticed her car didn’t have a front license plate and she was pulled over.

When searching the car, police found a folded white paper receipt in her front pants pocket, the report said.

In the receipt, police found about 0.1 grams of a white crystal substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the report.

The passenger in the car wasn’t charged.

Stange’s preliminary hearing is set for May 4 in Middletown Municipal Court.
