An assault was reported between 7 and 7:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Laurel Avenue.

Between 8 p.m. Jan. 25 and 5:15 p.m. Jan. 26, someone broke into a vehicle parked in the 0 to 100 block of Essex Court and stole a cell phone and a digital camera.
An air conditioning unit, valued at $700, was stolen from the 800 block of Forest Avenue between 3 p.m. Jan. 28 and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 30.
Sometime overnight Feb. 4, someone entered a vehicle parked in the 900 block of Kahn Avenue and went through his belongings and dumped a soft drink on his car seat.
Between 7:30 and 11 p.m., someone entered a vehicle parked in the 1600 block of Cereal Avenue. An mP3 player was stolen from the vehicle.
An mP3 player was stolen between Feb. 1 and Feb. 3 from a vehicle that was parked in the 700 block of Carlisle Avenue.
About 1:57 p.m., a person was struck numerous times in the torso area while on a Hamilton City Schools bus at North Third and Village streets.
An assault was reported about 8:20 a.m. in the 0 to 100 block of Margaret Avenue.
Two dealer license plate tags were stolen before 8:45 a.m. from Gateway Auto, 2215 Dixie Highway.
Police arrested a juvenile who stole $20 about 8:31 a.m. from a residence in the 0 to 100 block of Stephens Street. The $20 was recovered by police.
Between June 18 and Feb. 4 in the 0 to 100 block of Hampshire Court, someone forged the name of a resident in the 400 block of South Second Street on a power of attorney and cashed his income tax checks.
A person was arrested after trying to steal nearly $100 in underwear and jewelry between 5:30 and 6 p.m. from the Walmart store, 1505 Main St. The merchandise was recovered.
A woman reported her wallet was stolen from her purse when she walked out of the room about 11:30 p.m. Feb. 2in the 200 block of Starr Avenue. The neon-colored wallet contained a child support and food stamp cards, a Social Security card and $370.
While out with a friend about 11:30 p.m. Feb. 2 in the 1000 block of Harmon Avenue, a resident from the 1100 block of Minor Avenue got into a verbal altercation with another person and was was struck across the face with a pool stick.
A person reportedly loaded up a cart with an undetermined amount of merchandise between 6:12 and 6:20 p.m. and rolled it out the door of the Walgreens, 1090 High St. while a second person distracted the cashier. The suspects were then seen fleeing west on High Street in a vehicle.
About 11:15 p.m., a resident in the 1100 block of Edison Avenue said his vehicle was pushed out of the driveway and up against the wall of the neighboring apartment building. A witness saw the suspect backing out of the driveway and park on Edison Avenue. The victim said he believes this was due to an ongoing dispute between the two over parking.
Feb. 5
The window to the front door window was shattered about 1:30 a.m. at a residence in the 300 block of North D Street.
Between Dec. 2 and Feb. 2, a wallet containing a credit card, birth certificate, a Social Security card and $11,900 was stolen from a residence in the 1400 block of Shuler Avenue.
About 7:17 a.m., someone attempted to use a credit card in the 2100 block of Pleasant Avenue that belonged to a resident in the 0 to 100 block of Morris Avenue.
A vehicle parked overnight Feb. 4 in the 1200 block of Wallace Street was damaged with an unknown object and caused about $1,000.
Someone used a knife to puncture four tires on a car that was parked overnight in the 700 block of Pyramid Hill Boulevard. Damages were listed at $1,000.
