The Butler County OVI Task Force will conduct an OVI Blitz along the U.S. 27 corridor Friday and Saturday to detect and deter impaired drivers.
Police agencies along U.S. 27 will have additional officers on OVI patrol between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. each day.
Police agencies not situated near U.S. 27 will have additional officers in their jurisdictions looking for impaired drivers.
If you plan to consume alcohol, the OVI Task Force recommends these tips:
- Plan a safe way home before festivities begin
- Before drinking, designate a sober driver and give that person your keys.
- If you are impaired, use a taxi, call a sober friend or family member so you are sure to get home safely.
- If you happen to see an impaired driver, contact the local law enforcement agency.
