One driver arrested during Friday OVI checkpoint

The Butler County OVI Task Force arrested one driver for operating a vehicle while intoxicated in Monroe on Friday night. No further information was available about that driver.

During the checkpoint staged on Cincinnati-Dayton Road at Todhunter Road, the task force checked 458 vehicles. One driver was diverted for further investigation and subsequently arrested, according to task force coordinator Pete Reising.

The checkpoint was held from around 7:15 to 10 p.m.

Participating agencies included the Monroe Police Department, Butler County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio State Patrol.
