Ohio’s Legoland opening this month

The Columbus Legoland Discovery Center will open to the general public at the end of this month.

The 36,000 square-foot entertainment center at the Easton Town Center next to the AMC movie theater will include two interactive rides, a 4D cinema and Miniland, Ohio, which will have Ohio landmarks, including some from Dayton, according to a company statement.

The 10 a.m. Sept. 28 grand opening event includes Legoland’s mascot Bertie leading a children’s parade, speakers and a large Lego brick wall to be knocked down in place of a ribbon cutting.

The first 500 attendees at the $10 million facility will also get a grand opening Legoland Discovery Center Pop Badge.

But LEGO fans that can’t wait until the event can buy the First to Play Annual Pass for early access. The $55 pass includes free admission for the year, early entrance before the general public and discounts at the coffee shop and gift store. Families of three or more can get a pass for $50 per person.
