Largo police arrested Valerie Branch-Galloway Monday on domestic battery charges, according to WPLG-TV.

The incident apparently occurred after the victim, who lives with Branch-Galloway and his father, missed his midnight curfew.

The arrest report said Branch-Galloway gave her stepson an ultimatum: She would tell his father he was late or he could take the "licks," WPLG reported.

The man "picked the licks," according to the Smoking Gun. Branch-Galloway delivered 11 lashes to the victim's buttocks before he asked her to stop, but she reportedly said he had 19 more coming.

The suspect admitted to striking her stepson but told police he never asked her to stop.

Branch-Galloway was scheduled for arraignment on the battery charges Wednesday.
