Police seeking 'snake snatchers' in California

Police are seeking the public's help in nabbing two suspects seen on surveillance video stealing a snake from a pet store in California.

The incident took place Aug. 24 at Elliotts’ for Pets in Riverside. The video, posted on the Riverside Police Department's Facebook page, shows a male and female walking into the pet store. The male lifts the top from a tank of snakes, and removes a red-tailed boa. He hands the snake to the female and places the top back on the tank. The suspects exit the store with the snake.

The Riverside Police Department said the male suspect is described as a Hispanic adult, approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds with black hair. The female suspect is described as a Hispanic adult, approximately 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 125 pounds with brown hair and appears to be pregnant.
