Pamela Anderson splits with husband after 12 days of marriage

Pamela Anderson’s fifth marriage did not even last two weeks.

The "Baywatch" actress said her secret marriage to movie producer Jon Peters is now over after 12 days, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Anderson said she and Peters had not filed the legal paperwork for their Jan. 20 ceremony, according to the Reporter, citing a source. It was also Peters' fifth marriage.

Anderson, 52, and Peters, 74, were married in California with their children in attendance, ET Online reported. Anderson's previous ex-husbands include rocker Tommy Lee, Kid Rock, and Rick Salomon, who she married twice. Peters was married to actress Lesley Ann Warren, Henrietta Zampitella, Christine Forsyth-Peters and Mindy Peters.

"I have been moved by the warm reception to Jon and my union," Anderson said in a statement to the Reporter. "We would be very grateful for your support as we take some time apart to reevaluate what we want from life and from one another. Life is a journey and love is a process. With that universal truth in mind, we have mutually decided to put off the formalization of our marriage certificate and put our faith in the process. Thank you for respecting our privacy."

Peters did not respond to a request for comment.

The couple met during the 1980s at the Playboy Mansion, according to US magazine. Peters helped Anderson launch her first television role on "Home Improvement" and on "Baywatch," the magazine reported.

"I walked in and saw this little angel sitting at the bar. It was Pammy. She was like 19. I knew she would be a big star," Peters told Reporter in 2017. "We ended up living together. Of course, (Hugh) Hefner loved her and saw her beauty. Pamela was a girl who with no makeup was gorgeous. She was very smart and very talented. I tried to talk her out of doing Playboy. I said, 'Don't do Playboy. Focus on a serious career.' She said, 'You're nuts.' She wanted to do Playboy, and she went on to do 13 covers."
