On Wednesday, a caravan of police cruisers, SWAT vehicles and even a police helicopter descended on the hospital, all in a surprise made just for Aidan to make his Halloween wish a reality.
“I thought they were just going to come by and say hi and give him a T-shirt and so it's pretty cool,” Nelson said.
Aidan ended up receiving much more than just a T-shirt. Officers ended up giving the boy a full Fresno police uniform.
“I'm just so overwhelmed. I'm just so thankful for all the people. I mean I love my son, but to see other people love on him too, it's just incredible," Nelson said.
Nelson said a Halloween store also donated a police officer costume, but she says her son is excited to wear his new Fresno police uniform.
Officers also gave Aidan an Oakland Raiders jersey autographed by Derek Carr.
