Man pleads guilty to murder in death of girlfriend's 4-year-old son, faces up to 60 years in prison

A Pennsylvania man pleaded guilty Monday to murder in the 2016 death of a 4-year-old boy.

Keith Jordan Lambing, the boyfriend of Bentley Miller's mother, reportedly was arrested after weeks on the run. Lambing was found by police hiding out in Butler, authorities said. Police said the boy died at Butler Memorial Hospital after officers were called to a parking lot where the boy was found unresponsive.

A week before he was to go on trial, possibly facing the death penalty, Lambing pleaded guilty to third-degree murder, aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The district attorney told WPXI-TV that Lambing faces 30 to 60 years in prison.

Prosecutors said this deal spares Bentley’s family from hearing the horrific details of what happened all over again.

Lambing is expected to be sentenced next week.
