Houston blanketed with fog, fireworks smoke making driving dangerous

Drivers in Houston had a dangerous commute to start the new year. The smoke that remained after fireworks displays mixed with already dense fog, leaving those who were braving the roads with nearly no visibility, KTRK reported.

First responders urged those who had to drive in the conditions to exercise caution.

Some drivers just gave up and pulled over until the smoke and fog lifted.
