Fox News incorrectly reports President Jimmy Carter died

The error appeared on Fox News Insider, the official blog of Fox News. The network's official Twitter account links to the item.

Below is a screenshot of the article, which someone presumably will correct.

The two ex-presidents are close in age, both having been born in 1924. Bush was born in June of that year and Carter in October. So Bush is indeed older.

But to be clear: Both are still with us.

As the Atlanta Journal Constitution's resident Jimmy Carter expert Jill Vejnoska reported shortly before his 93rd birthday, "The peanut farmer who became president will mark it in his preferred fashion: By attending a piano concert in his honor at an Americus church on Saturday night, then teaching Sunday School at his own church here the following morning."
